Destiny?

At the primitive times
When the earth was born
Generations came and went
But she was left alone

So into the life and after the death
Where all was said and nothing done
Where memories were lost
Where feelings were gone

Behind the depths of darkness
She lost all sense of happiness
And waited alone for quiet misery
Not willing to fight or change destiny

First came the wind
Then darkness and storms
A chill to the spine
Came to break her bones

They saw it descend
From the greyish skies
Something like a heart
Not letting her die

Now in ruins we stand
Perhaps with loved ones
And cannot understand
The sacrifice she’s done
